DIY Project No 5 Flooring

Flooring, like wallpapers or paint treatment is an important décor item in your doll house.

There are many options to choose from – carpets, rugs, timber floors, tiled look etc. We recommend always using material that is in keeping and in scale to your doll house.

Choose floor coveringMeasure room floor dimensionsMark out dimensions on material to be used. If unsure, use a sheet of brown paper to test the measurements first. Cut out room flooring as per the measurements.Check for fit(f) You may wish to glue the flooring into place. This should only be done when the lights and electrical wiring have been fitted. You may want to apply a wood stain varnish to the raw timber flooring – varnish with two or three coats of polyurethane semi gloss varnish.
